This I believe is at least 100yrs old I know where my mother acquired it from.. She was the nurse who stayed at the time with a 90 yr old lady it was in her family.. To see this in person is just amazing at the quality and detail this is made out to be. I feel like it is so rare it belongs museum. Feel free to contact me with any questions. This Antique German Papier Mache Dog Candy Container features a unique design with glass eyes and a removable head, standing at 14 inches tall. Made of papier-mâché and mohair materials, this original antique piece originates from Germany. The multi-color paint and hair seems to be in good condition to me given the age I can take any other picture or if you want thanks.

A very beautiful antique papier Mache bunny rabbit that is just perfect for your spring/Easter display. This little fellow was made in Germany at the start of the 1900s, around the 1910 period. He is well moulded with large erect ears, fur coat and white tipped bobtail. The head comes away to reveal the hollow body for storing your candies. Size: Height 7 3/4 inch to the tip of his ear (19.5 cm), tail to nose 6 3/4 inch (16.5 cm). Condition: Good and sound. An old hairline near the back leg. Minor surface age evidence to the papier mache. Two staples seen to the inside of the neck/head.

Constructed from layered paper strips with original scalloped seam trim, this large example remains structurally intact with expected age-related wear including surface rubbing, scattered paint loss, and a visible seam opening typical of over-100-year-old papier-mâché, but no major losses to the artwork. This gorgeous doll has no label on the back of the shoulder plate, so we are not sure about her origin. The doll appears to have original paint and finish. The dress is not removable unless unstitched. From what is possible to see the head and shoulder plate have no damage. Looks like the body and clothes are all original. The doll is stuffed with horsehair that is visible inside the leather arms that have some damage. Light wear to the body. One of the legs is repaired at the bottom. The doll is coming with pantaloons, petticoat, dress and coat. The clothes are very old, but are well preserved and have just light wear. Please refer to the pictures for more details. Beautiful large and very old doll. She has typical to this kind of dolls flaws, that include cracks, paint wear and damage to the leather body. She has repairs, probably some sawdust is missing. The doll is very interesting. We are not sure if the head is papier mache. It might be also composition, or some other material. She reminds of German papier mache dolls, yet she is different. The head is well preserved and has just small signs of wear. There are a few small cracks to the socket of the head. The wig is glued. The doll has unique molded hard jointed body with composition/wooden limbs. The body is light and is hollow. The body is well preserved and has a good stringing. Some wear to the arms that is shown on the photos. The doll comes with pantaloons, petticoat and dress. They are old and a little worn. The stockings and shoes are included. This beautiful old doll is approximately 15.75-16. She is all original including her clothes. The doll is in nice condition considering her age. She has paint imperfections and cracks to the head. Some paint missing on the left eye. Leather body overall looks good. Some minor repairs are possible. Looks like the areas where the wooden arms are connected with the leather part were repaired in the past. Some were to the wooden limbs but no damage. For additional details about the condition of the doll please refer to the pictures. The doll is wearing multiple layers of underwear. Pantaloons have some stains. Some signs of wear to the dress but considering the age of the clothes they all are in good condition. The stand is included.
