ANTIQUE GERMAN PARIAN DOLL’EMPRESS AUGUSTA’ Absolutely Beautiful!! Her delicate head/shoulders are in perfect condition. No cracks, scratches, Knicks or chipped paint. She has no markings. Molded hair, leather lower limbs, sewn cloth upper limbs and torso. As far as I can tell, her clothes are sewn on to her. I believe her multi layer, intricate clothing is original. The dress itself is discolored and not in great shape. There are a couple of little tears in one sleeve and some of the sequin boarder is missing on her chest. It seems to be sown on to her so I cannot remove it for deeper cleaning. She is among a set of dolls that the original collector referred to as “the Civil War dolls” so mid-late 1800’s potentially. I think she is late 1800’s. Due to her age and after careful inspection, I have not removed her clothes because they aren’t meant to come off, but as far as I can tell, all of her seams on the Kidd body are still intact. She’s been well cared for. Everything about her is original. She’s been boxed, in the attic of an antique dealer for at least the last 70+ years. Feel free to message me with questions.
