Very cute and very small doll that will be a perfect addition to an antique dollhouse setup. She has a china shoulder head and china lower legs and arms. Her antique body is filled with sawdust. This lovely little piece is a primitive, hand made hand painted Art Deco Bunny Easter cart candy container. The piece has lots of aged patina – the antique look things get over time. It is a beautiful little primitive piece – made by hand, and and hand painted. It has it’s two little original tin metal wheels on the back and one on the front. The front doesn’t have 2 wheels – I don’t believe it ever did. It stands really well, and there are no holes where there would have been wheels. There is crackling to the finish on the egg, and very tiny rubs and scratches, and there are splinters of wood missing on one side. Photos describe that best. It has a little spun cotton chick on a bed of grass in the back that I believe are original. The grass looks to be made from glassine – a waxed translucent paper that was used in this era before cellophane. The little chick displays well, but only has 1 eye. His feet are wire wrapped in paper. The little candy container is marked Germany. It is about 6 inches long. This container has a matching friend – a chick pulling an egg cart, also with a chick, and with grass, and also marked Germany. I have the chick cart in another listing. Vintage German machete marked. W&B and has two crossed machete logo. Made of light weight blade. Whole tool feel lighter. 14 length x 3 1/2 width. Handle is 7 inches. Condition is poor overall, but. Great collector piece or for decoration. To be used for decorative purpose only. Its very rusty and can not be used. For any type of work. The blade has severe rust and pitting all over. This is a delightful small decorative cabinet that appears to be European, probably German. The lovely spice name plates on the drawers are porcelain. The drawers are nailed together and the knobs are wood. 2 knobs have broken off of their drawers. One drawer has a section missing and you can see a rod that was used in manufacturing to hold the pieces of wood together. I was not expecting to see that; I figured just nails and glue would do the trick. Also, these drawers do not have guides so they do not slide in or out like you may hope or think they should. It measures approx 9″ tall x 5.25″ wide x 3 deep. I gave it a cursory cleaning; there is what I would consider to be significant build up in areas; I just was not sure how to clean it or if the new owner would prefer it this way. It does shows wear associated with age and use. I would not use this for spices any longer, however, it may be suitable to store keys and other small odds and ends in.
