From an estate in Candia NH comes this 22 cuno Otto Dressel 1912.4 Bisque head doll with jointed composition body. She has brown set eyes. There are no chips or cracks. Her composition body has original paint and lacquer. She is Missing the middle finger on left hand. It is in very nice condition. She has vintage wig, under clothes and dress appropriate for her age. There is a hole in dress near right under arm. She came with 1 very damaged shoe and I added socks and her vintage hat. Please review all photos and ask questions. I do pack the head to protect the eyes.

She retains both of her curls and her sand bucket. Is missing its head and looks to be an old repair at the elbow. Random spots of missing paint/age related wear. Really nice early Parian China doll with provenance from former owner. Please note that she had some sort of repair done by a doll hospital over 40 years ago. She looks pretty gorgeous. She is wearing an original overcoat which is a little too big for her. There is definitely some wear to the leather hands. I love her little leather shoes. Stunning describes this 14 antique French Fashion beauty. All original, dating to the 1870’s and belonging to Clara Troth Stackhouse Spenser at age 10. So rarely does one have provenance for these beautiful antique dolls. Smooth flawless bisque swivel head on a separate bisque shoulder plate. This French poupee has blue inset paperweight eyes, painted upper and lower lashes, feathered brows. Incised with the number 9 at the base of the head. No noticed markings on the shoulder plate. NO hairlines, damages or repairs to bisque. Original auburn mohair wig with original cork pate. Both in wonderful condition. Original kid leather body has individually stitched fingers and is in very nice condition. Original costume is lovely. Silk lace edged jacket with organza laced skirt. Original antique underclothing consists of pantaloons, slips. One original leather boot with side buttons is missing. She will come with an antique styled pair of high top boots. Its so nice to have a doll this old and know the history. My husband is an estate sale host. It is possible for us to initiate contact if needed but the second owner of the doll is elderly and it could be a sensitive matter. The Grandmother was born in 1890 and the doll, according to a note attached to the doll is wearing the Grandmother’s Christening Gown. (Shown in photos) The gown is not perfect it has loose seams and a couple of holes but for something that was worn by the original owner 128 years ago. It was given to the Granddaughter in 1937. The Granddaughter is still living. I don’t see any cracks or breaks in the original doll head. It is in really good shape. The body is also nice with the expected surface imperfections of a doll of this proposed age. Unless the original owner received the doll after the age of 10 it is from the 1800’s. Please ask anything you like of feel free to request more photos. This is a rare opportunity to have a doll that has been passed around so little and remained in the same family for over 100 years. That doesn’t happen by mistake. Please examine photos closely. I tried to take clear photos to show detail. The eyes work perfectly open and closing. There are some tiny little imperfections of the finish close to the eyes.
