Vintage blown glass, hand-painted Christmas ornament from Christopher Radko. This is a very rare, very early Christmas ornament that was handblown and handpainted in Poland for Christopher Radko. This large “Star of Wonder” measures 4 across and shows 3 reflectors tied together with purple & pink bows & ribbons and spruce roping. Star of Wonder has forever number 91-128-1 and is the sister to “Christmas Trim” (98-128-0) but in different color combination. Ornament Name: STAR of WONDER triple reflector ball. Size: 5 (measurements in photos). Condition: pre-owned; a few light yellow age spots and a scratch around the pike from metal hangers; vintage ornaments will show slight signs of previous use. Year produced (if known) : 1991. Other comments: “RADKO” impressed on crown. Very early Radko, hard to find. CHECK OUT MY OTHER LISTINGS FOR MORE VINTAGE, EARLY RADKO FRESH FROM LOCAL ESTATES! Antique German Xmas Ornament Foxy Grandpa/Hans Clown on a Reflector Indent RARE. Early 1900s from Lauscha Germany winter cottage industry effort. This complex hand blown and molded glass ornament is all original. Foxy Grandpa, also referred to as Hans the Clown’s head sits atop a deep floral reflector indent. He’s given a rarity of R-2 in “Christmas Rarities ” by John Lightner. Completely intact glass with metal hanging cap most likely original. Internal silvering strong on the indent and faded or not present in the head. Foxy Grandpa identification is due to the presence of eyeglasses. Gelatin paint on the head and either gelatin or egg tempera pink on the indent. Paints were made with materials available on the farm. Thanks for looking, and feel free to browse. I have several rare original and artisan restored ornaments available this season.
