This I believe is at least 100yrs old I know where my mother acquired it from.. She was the nurse who stayed at the time with a 90 yr old lady it was in her family.. To see this in person is just amazing at the quality and detail this is made out to be. I feel like it is so rare it belongs museum. Feel free to contact me with any questions. This Antique German Papier Mache Dog Candy Container features a unique design with glass eyes and a removable head, standing at 14 inches tall. Made of papier-mâché and mohair materials, this original antique piece originates from Germany. The multi-color paint and hair seems to be in good condition to me given the age I can take any other picture or if you want thanks.

ANTIQUE 19thC GERMAN HANAU SOLID SILVER GILT BIRD ORNAMENT EWER, REMOVABLE HEAD. An antique German solid silver gilt. Ornamental ewer in the form of a. Bearing Hanau silver marks. Dating to the late 19th Century. Crafted in the Renaissance style, the crested bird has been cast and hand engraved and chased with fine naturalistic details. The head removes to reveal a vessel within the body, the head being used as a drinking cup. The inside of the neck is marked with Hanau silver marks, reminiscent of 16th Century Augsburg marks and including the simulated’Tremiolerstrich’ zigzag line used for silver assaying. Many German silver cups of the 16th Century took the form of a bird with a removable head, the art form continuing well into the 17th Century. Length (from beak to tail): 22. Cm or 8 5/8 inches. Cm or 5 7/8 inches. Cm or 2 3/16 inches. Weight: 355.3 grams, 11.422 ozt. In good antique condition, without damage or restoration. Please see the images provided which complement this description.
