Antique German Gottschalk paper litho Blue Roof doll house. Great example, paper really nice outside & in. Red brick, lithograph paper walls, glass windows and drapes. Front of house hinged to open with side clasp to secure. Architectural features include Dutch Gable, 1st Floor Bay Window, turned porch columns with second floor balcony and door. 20.5″ H X 12.25″ W X 10.5 D. Original drapes top floor, replaced lace on the bottom. Overall great condition, the top wood trim on the upper left & medallion are replaced. Inside rooms: Top 9 1/2 w x 7″; Lower 7 1/4 t x 9 1/2″ w. Signed on the bottom 2037. It may be a day longer but doesn’t justify you, the customer paying more. I also recycle & save good boxes. Here is an outstanding, rare antique wood and lithographed, blue roof , farm house with stable and hay loft by Moritz Gottschalk of Germany circa 1880-90. It measures approximately, 11 1/2″ by 11 1/2″ high and almost 6 deep with three brass hinged working doors and all the original finely crafted, metal railings, wood posts and double base. (wood & half timber). And inside colorful lithographed paper flooring is still firmly in place along with the wood trough for feeding the animals. True to the 1800s European, farmhouse style of having the animals housed beneath the family living quarters it is a delight that has been treasured for several generations. Wouldn’t it make a great Christmas nativity setting as well? There are no cracks or water damage, no structure defects or repairs and no odors as it is from a smoke free home. Unique Moritz Gottschalk miniature dollhouse made in the 1920s. Bottom is marked, but I can’t decipher the numbers in pencil which I believe are original. This cottage matches features on Gottschalk pieces in the mid 1920s featured in reference books. All pieces appear to be original including front door with handle, window, shutters, porch stairs, clasp/hinges and chimney. The exterior paint is all original and shows wear, with the red roof paint wear being significant. The wood frame around the front door and some of the base supports have been repaired and there are spaces where the foundation shifted a bit. Interior paper flooring is in good shape for it’s age. The quaint one-room cottage. Is wired for lights but has not been tested as it’s vintage German electrical. Please see photos for more details on the condition of this cute house. The scale is quite small as this sweet piece displays easily in a standard bookshelf. Approximate dimensions with stairs and chimney included are 8 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ x 10.
