Lovely antique doll, marked with the stamp “Germany Handwerck”. Porcelain bisque socket-head, jointed body. Brown eyes and earring holes, blonde hair. This was my grandmother’s doll, “Marion”. The under garments are original, and here’s a clue about the outfit: a hand-written note that I found in her box reads “style of 1912 floating panel suit”, perhaps my grandmother made the outfit for her. Note: the body is jointed and complete except one thigh piece is missing, but the knee-shin-foot piece is intact.
