A lovely late 19th-century c. 1890 German antique solid 800 silver and glass dish. A generously sized, oval-shaped dish featuring beautifully pierced silver, adorned with foliate borders and ribbon swags. There is an oval cartouche on both the front and back – both are vacant and free from monograms. The original antique glass insert is made from thick glass and features a starburst pattern on the base. 14cm x 8cm (5 1/2″ x 3 1/8″), Height at the highest points: 6cm (2 3/8). 70g (with glass dish 206g).
