Pair Antique German Porcelain Boudoir Lamps – Gentleman & Lady – c. The mold numbers are 15243 and 15244. The companion figures depict an elegantly dressed 18th century gentleman and lady seated on Rococo-style benches. Each figure is finely modeled with hand-painted facial features, pastel clothing and gilt accents. The lamps retain their ornate pierced brass-tone metal bases and porcelain columns. The gentleman’s figure is impressed with “Germany” and the mold number 15243. There is also a factory monogram that is too faint to attribute with certainty. Condition: These are an absolutely gorgeous companion pair and the lamps are in full working condition. The flaws can be seen in the pictures and are as follows: The lady’s column has been cracked at some point and there has been an obvious repair which is clearly visible only from the back. This repair has obscured the factory impressions on the lady. The very tip of the lady’s one slipper seems to have been cracked although not obvious (see photo). The brass filigree at the bottom of the gentleman figure is cracked (see photo), although this allows you to see the factory mark. They are both 12 inches tall (see photo).

Beautiful older full-size 4/4 German violin, made in the traditional Antonius Stradivarius style and retaining its original-style interior label marked “Antonius Stradivarius” and Made in Germany. The violin has a wonderful deep reddish-brown finish with attractive natural age, patina and character throughout. It features a spruce top, traditional purfling, ebony-style fingerboard and fittings, and a beautifully carved scroll. Included is the old fitted hard case shown in the photographs, with green velvet interior, bright green protective ribbons, aged hardware and a wonderfully authentic vintage appearance. The case itself shows considerable age and wear, including wear to the exterior, interior, hardware and handle. The violin is in vintage used condition with scratches, finish wear, marks, scuffs and other age-related imperfections. Please carefully examine all photographs as they are an important part of the condition description. The instrument has not been professionally inspected, serviced or set up for playing. Its current playability is unknown and it may require strings, adjustment, setup and/or repairs by a qualified luthier before use. This instrument is being offered specifically as a German-made Stradivarius-style/copy violin and NOT as an authentic Antonio Stradivari instrument. No bow is included. A very attractive old German violin with wonderful visual character – equally interesting for a player willing to have it professionally evaluated and set up, or for a collector of vintage string instruments.
