Beautifully hand-decorated surface with elaborate wire frame. I would date this 1880-90 and its LARGE- measuring 8 1/2 from the tri-color tinsel loop to the tinsel tail. Imagine a whole tree of these decadent ornaments. I find these early examples are almost impossible to find. Pictures help to tell the story best. It’s from my private stash- I’ve ad it for decades.
