Plath Hamburg Marine Sextant German World War 2 Paperwork. The exact history of this Marine Sextant is unknown. It was found in abandoned storage in Central Florida. Two pieces of paperwork that were found in the top sleeve indicate that It was brought back from the War by an American soldier. Please see photos of the paperwork for details. I have included a partial google translate of the German paperwork. The sextant has a good amount of wear from time and storage. Please see photos for details on condition. I can find no other like it, anywhere in the world. 1897 bound magazine completely in German, titled: The Old and New World, Catholic Family Journal for Entertainment and Instruction. Heavily illustrated with gorgeous etchings and prints. All of the pages are clean and bright and well attached to the binding. There may be a minor foxing mark, smudge or chip missing here or there. The pages are not brittle, musty, moldy, or stuck together. This is a large, heavy book measuring approximately 13.5 inches tall by 9.5 inches wide and weighing 6 pounds and 7 ounces.
