Beautiful and very expressive doll mold 719 , 18 tall (46 cm) : This mold appears to be the earliest numbered one which Simon & Halbig made (circa 1886). It is the version with solid dome head, closed mouth and inset eyes. The bisque has a good quality and is free of hairline, crack or restoration. Incised’S 11 H 719 DEP’ The body is original : jointed body with straight wrists. The wig is an antique human hair wig in good used condition (french wig circa late XIX°). About the clothes : everything is antique, the 2 underwears, socks, dress, hat, leather boots. Condition of the head : a small chip at one ear (see pic), a minor wig pull behind the head, a little discoloration at a cheek (don’t forget that the pictures are close-up). Condition of the body : original painting and body finish except : 3 fingers were restored, a toe of the right foot was restored, a repair too, near the opening for the legs (see pic n° 11). Condition of the clothes : good but the hat is a little used, a minor repair at one boot, a small hole at one underwear. Feel free to ask me any question.
