Offered for your consideration is this lovely early doll by Simon Halbig mold 750 which is a rare mold. This young lady has a closed mouth with a small space in between the lips. Her sleep eyes are cobalt blue and retain their wax lids. Her bisque is pale and smooth with no hairlines or cracks. Her head has the French slope and she has pierced ears. She has her original mohair wig still attached to cardboard pate. Her early leather body is slender and has some areas (knees) with patches and a small open seam. Her handmade two piece dress is very stylish silk satin trimmed with antique lace. Her straw hat is antique. Her stockings are antique and possibly original and her tiny leather boots are also original. Please note that one of the boots was repaired, probably by a child, and the back seam is open. Still, she displays well and is a delight to look at. If you like the early girls and can overlook their age related imperfections, this one is a gem.
