This darling antique Googly doll was made by Armand Marseille and is marked on the back of her head with: Germany, 323 A. Her cute chubby face is adorable with her gentle look and shy smile. She has set brown side glancing eyes and beautifully painted features. The bisque head does not have any airlines but it does have tiny dots that seem to be made with something pointy that slightly damaged some of the surface on top of the head (I try to show this of the last photo). Theses tiny dots are really tiny and only visible when you look for them. The wig easily covers this small damage to the head. This doll has a composition jointed toddler body. This doll’s body is very unusual and rare to find. It does show signs of wear and age but it’s well strung (please look at photos carefully). This doll is wearing two factory made antique dresses (one of them fits a bit too short on the back). The wig is new and hand made with angora mohair specially for the doll. While the socks are also antique, the leather shoes are new replacements. This googly doll is in the rare largest size of 10.4.
