Offered for sale is an antique French bisque doll. The doll would make about an 18 inch doll. The body is 14 inches. The doll has blue paperweight eyes and an open mouth with teeth. The eyebrows are symmetrical and nicely painted. The doll is marked Jullien at the top back of the head and Imported near the very bottom of the neck. She has pierced ears. The body was a walking type body with a voice box. It separates at the waist. There is a place at the side for a pull string or strings, which also would operate one arm’s movement. There is a sticker on the back of its body, marked Bebe Incassible. The doll has a very nice mohair wig that needs grooming and a very nice original pink dress, but no shoes nor underwear. The doll’s head has no damage. The right eye has a small crack in the glass which is hardly noticeable. The body is a different story. None of the mechanism works and parts might be missing. The legs need filling and repainting. Luckily all the fingers are still on the hands. With all of it faults, this could be made into a nice doll, maybe you have a body at home for the head.
