What a beautiful and so hard to find Kestner 156 child! She is a huge 30 tall with beautiful brown glass sleep eyes, original wax, finely painted upper and lower lashes and open mouth with teeth. Her nose is pug and her bisque is of the highest quality and delicately colored. She is incised Made in Germany M DEP 11 156. There are no hairlines or repairs or chips to this lovely head and no flaws that I can see. She is on a German fully jointed composition and wood body with it’s original finish. This is an exceptionally lovely body, with no major flaws. Her eyes sleep, but are sticky at times. She has been sitting in my rocking chair and prefers that upright position. This doll has been redressed in a beautiful silk dress made by a local seamstress. It fits her perfectly! She has her original antique silk slip and underwear, which is in delicate condition. The socks and shoes are replacements. She came with this short wig, which I think suits her perky personality. If you would like her to wear longer hair, it could be changed.
