There are multiple wig hairs that are still glued to her head. Her wig was glued on when she arrived here years ago. Stunning circa 1890 Brown complexion bisque doll by Armand Marseille. Bisque socket head with brown coloring, brown glass inset eyes, black painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils, open mouth with 4 tiny teeth, black original human hair wig (per the original owner & it looks the same as the wig in the book) wooden fully jointed body. She comes dressed in a dark burgundy silk dress with her stylish and gorgeous bonnet. Underneath her fab dress she has white cotton bloomers and slip. She is also wearing socks and shoes. Please peruse the lighted head photos. I cannot see any repairs but looks as though when her eyes were set that some of the setting material floated around a bit. There is a small chip of paint on her chest but other than that and some discoloration. A few places at her joints where there are rubs, she is in very decent shape. This is a beautiful doll looking for a new wonderful home:- I will miss her but it is time. Her head will be packed and diapered. She will be wrapped In bubble wrap and will packed plus she will be insured:. The starting price does not reflect what I feel is the value of this doll. It is merely a starting point.
