Solid domed bisque socket head, painted brown hair with defined forelock curls, tiny blue glass sleep eyes, closed mouth with downcast lips, composition and wooden ball-jointed toddler body, nicely costumed. Marked Fany 230 A 4 M. Marseille, circa 1910, their rare model was inspired by the sculpture of a young boy by the Dutch 16th century artist, Francois Duquesnoy.
