16 Antique German Bisque Gebruder Heubach Laughing Boy 6897
From an estate in Lunenburg Massachusetts comes this absolutely adorable 16 Gebruder Heubach laughing boy # 6897 on jointed composition body. He looks like he has been playing dress up in his antique velvet and beaded Smock top and velvet knickers. He also has antique socks but newer shoes which I gave him since he only had socks when I bought him. His head is perfect no chips or cracks. His body has original paint and lacquer but has either wear or something on his hands. The red lines are still there. The tip of an index finger has a hole. Luckily his long flowing sleeves actually hide his hands. One knee ball looks like it might be a tiny bit smaller than the other one. His outfit has some wear and someone threaded white stringing elastic thru his knickers to hold them up. I think black cord or ribbon would be more appropriate.
