Here we have a Exceptionally Rare and hard to find early German antique doll in original clothes. With original body dating from around the 1850s and she is 15 cm in ht. She is known as a Milliners doll and is a good cabinet size doll. She has a very nice hairstyle and painted face and hair she has been played. With but she is fully original. She has papier mache shoulder head , wooden carved half arms and legs. With a nicely shaped. Really for her age 171 years old she is holding up very well. Her outfit is fully original it is aged and a bit of the lace skirt has melted in the front towards the side. But the rest of it is alright she has lace and cotton pantaloons, two cotton laced edged. Under slips covered with a lace skirt. They are aged looking but really for the age they are fairly good. The doll itself for its age is in reasonably good condition. She is fully original, h. Er hair and face have scuff marks but her body is fairly good. Feeling the body it is firm no evidence of leaking or holes at all , it does feel like the right upper joint. Where the wooden leg is attached it does feel like it may be repaired with sewing or something. But I could not see due to the clothes being sewed on but the leg it self. Feels firm and it is straight. Her papier mache shoulder head itself is good no cracks or splits in. It at all and it feels like it is still on firmly. Really this doll is a treasure and I hope it does find a good home. Pictures do form part of the description.
