Nice Antique German Violin 4/4 Stradivarius Old Vintage Fiddle Ready to Play
Antique full-size German violin circa 1920s. Labeled inside Copy of Antonius Stradiuarius made in Germany. Length of back = 14 inches. Nice wood selection and orange varnish. Very good condition, no cracks. The usual small nicks and dings. On the top, the lighter-colored area around the bridge feet is not wear or scuffing, it is just the lighter ground coat showing through, in imitation-old varnishing style. There is one old repair—a bulging seam that had been reglued to the top plate under the chinrest area (see photo 11). New ebony pegs professionally fitted, genuine Wittner tailpiece, and Helicore strings. This violin has a comfortable action, nice for bluegrass and traditional fiddling. There is no case, but the violin will be carefully and professionally packaged. I do my best to describe items accurately and honestly.
