Unique Moritz Gottschalk miniature dollhouse made in the 1920s. Bottom is marked, but I can’t decipher the numbers in pencil which I believe are original. This cottage matches features on Gottschalk pieces in the mid 1920s featured in reference books. All pieces appear to be original including front door with handle, window, shutters, porch stairs, clasp/hinges and chimney. The exterior paint is all original and shows wear, with the red roof paint wear being significant. The wood frame around the front door and some of the base supports have been repaired and there are spaces where the foundation shifted a bit. Interior paper flooring is in good shape for it’s age. The quaint one-room cottage. Is wired for lights but has not been tested as it’s vintage German electrical. Please see photos for more details on the condition of this cute house. The scale is quite small as this sweet piece displays easily in a standard bookshelf. Approximate dimensions with stairs and chimney included are 8 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ x 10.
