My usual basic description with all the needed details, none of the flowery sales pitch stuff. She was first manufactured in 1889. She can sit or stand well. She does not have pierced ears. She has an antique brown human hair wig. Her mouth is open with 4 teeth. The lips are perfect. Her brown sleep eyes are antique glass & I believe original to the head. I don’t know if this is original to the head, probably not. The body tightly strung. It is stamped Germany 6. It has the usual scuffs and markings. Finger 3 & 4 on left hand appear to have been glued back on. There is cosmetic blemish on the left breast. There is minor chipping around the neckline. The dress is sleeveless. The bodice is a very smooth cream colored material that I thinks is silk. It closes with 3 snaps in the back. This extends down the length of the dress. It has a fold on the inside that looks like it could have been used to lengthen or shorten the dress as needed. Then there is the waist band to with a pleated skirt is attached. It is sewn onto the under cream colored part. Then underneath the pleated skirt is a stiff tube extension. It is sewn onto the cream material. It has a very stiff buckram type material for a lining. The jacket is lined with that same stiff material. It is fitted, pleats in the front. The bottom of the jacket and sleeves is a matching striped material. An antique lace yoke is on front with black netting folded densely to finish the neckline. The hat is matching purple fabric and trim, and the lace crown appears to be made from the same lace as the yoke. The crown also has a circle of the buckram type material to give it a little more structure. This outfit is in excellent condition although there is some rust staining on the inside lining of the jacket. She doesn’t have a slip but she has antique panties and cotton socks. She is wearing antique leather boots. The right one is missing 3 buttons one of which is inside the toe, waiting to be sewn on. The boots don’t fit the calves well–I had left the 2 top ones undone. Please look closely at all pictures. They are part of the description. NOTE THAT THIS IS A HEAVY DOLL. WITHOUT PACKAGING OR CLOTHES SHE WEIGHS ABOUT 5 POUNDS. I cannot combine this with wigs or straw flowers. Many of these have been put together with parts bought separately over years. I describe to the best of my ability. FOR PACKING I USE CLEAN PLASTICS THAT CAN BE RECYCLED, NOT NEW PACKING MATERIALS. THE BOX/PACKING MAY NOT LOOK PRETTY BUT SECURE. THESE MATERIALS MAY BE PLASTIC MILK CARTONS, NEWSPAPERM EMPTY FOOD PACKAGES, ETC. THE HEAD IS WRAPPED IN EITHER NEW OR USED BUBBLE WRAP.
