Antique 15 German Bisque Doll Bruno Schmidt BSW #2097-4 Composition Body
Wonderful antique 15 German bisque doll with composition body made by Bruno Schmidt. Back of the head is marked: 6 BSW 2097-4. She has working sleep eyes and open mouth with teeth. Her wig is made of mohair. CONDITION : There is a crack on the back of the head (see images #14-16). The crack doesn’t appear to have completely gone to edge of the rim on the right side – I also looked on the inside and only one side of the crack shows through. The composition body looks like might have been repainted or sanded down because it have a matte finish texture to it instead of the usual glossy finish. There are some hairline cracks to the composition on her left lower leg and left forearm. Her feet have some damage.
