Outstanding Simon & Halbig bisque doll. For price reference see page #450 in the book,’Doll Values’ 13th Edition by Linda Edward. This doll has no hairlines or chips in the bisque. She is all original – rare in this model as a black doll. She is marked on the top back of her head: S & H 739 DEP. She has brown glass set eyes and four upper teeth. Her facial painting is very nice with no scratches on her cheeks. Her body is in excellent condition with the original finish and no repainting. Notice the metal bands around one leg and both arms. All her fingers are perfect. Also notice her wig: some of it is missing – made especially for this black doll. She has a beaded necklace and opal like earrings. Her dress is fraying in spots after all – this dolls outfit is over 100 years old. It is obvious that she was not played with. She has two ribbons. From my home to yours.
