This gorgeous blue eyed antique bisque French Market Belton doll was probably made by Sonnenberg in Germany and she has the French EJ Jumeau Face! She is a 12 doll and her body is fully jointed. She has an excellent bisque head that is closed and flattened on the top with two holes for stringing with some wear on the holes. There is a tiny bump like a speck of plaster on the very top of her head and the tiniest of specks on her complexion, otherwise perfect. The back of the bisque head is only incised with a single number 4. Her body is in excellent condition and tightly strung with slight unevenness to the paint, but good coloring. Her face is expertly painted with dainty lashes and multi stroke eyebrows. She has perfect pantaloons, satin stockings and pink shoes. Her excellent pale pink silk dress has a silk overlay trimmed in hand stitched pearls. You can see the tiniest stitch on the underside for each pearl individually! Her real wool felt hat trimmed with silk ribbons is newly made by me, artist Elsa Jo Ellison. She has a genuine antique late 1900’s French Bebe Pin, that was Paris old store stock and she is the first to wear it. She stands about 13.5 to the top of her hat.
