Antique German Bisque Doll by Swaine and Co. Marked D. I. P. On Toddler Body
Offered for sale is an antique character doll by the Swaine Company. The doll is 11 inches tall. It is on a composition toddler body that is fully jointed. The blue eyes sleep and the mouth is open/closed with parted lips. The eyes are narrow giving the doll an usual look. It is marked D. 2 with a green stamp. The body is marked: Made in Germany. The mohair wig is newer and a little overpowering. It is dressed nicely in newer clothing in an antique style. The doll is in nice condition. The head has no damage nor repairs.
