Superb vintage Franz Hermle musical regulator wall clock in the Laterndluhr style. Original mahogany case with original colour and finish. The case has a slimline design with a pitched pediment to the top and a brass acorn finial to the bottom. 9 pieces of glass around the case giving a sublime design look, 3 doors to the front for the hood trunk and base all with turn latches. The hood lifts off so you can get to the movement and dial easily when setting it up. The case is in great original condition untouched. There is a plaque on the front which reads H Landseer-Bailey Regency Square Brighton which were the retailers of the clock. Original 7.5 inch diameter enamel dial with its brass bezel. Roman numerals & original moon hands. Dial is in good original condition. Original 8 day musical regulator movement by Franz Hermle. The movement plays the Westminster chime tune every 1/4 hour then on the hour after the musical chime it will strike the amount of hours on 4 separate gong rods. Movement is in full working order keeping good time and chiming every 1/4 hour as it should as you can see in the video above. Original wooden stem brass bob pendulum & new winding key to wind it. The clock measures 52.5 inches high x 11.5 inches wide x 7 inches deep. This is a perfect investment clock and a beautiful display piece.
