Company founded in 1883 from the partnership of Paul Landenberger and Philip Lang in Schramberg. Originally called Landenberger and Lang, became the Hamburg Amerikanische Uhrenfabrik in 1891. Landenberger previously worked as business manager for Junghans q. In 1930 the HAC merged with Junghans. This is two train clock. The case is good quality mahogany with inlaid and an engraved silver anodised dial. The clock has lacquered brass cast mounts and two mahogany columns. The dial has Chime/Silent. Adjustment through the dial arch. Chimes the quarters and strikes the hours. It has 4 chiming rods and 3 striking rods. Case is made of mahogany and the wood finish is in good condition. It is made in Germany, a 8 day mechanical works with thick bevelled glass over the clock face. The clock measures: 42 cm in height, 31 cm in width, 17 cm in depth. The clock comes with a pendulum and a key. This is a working clock and is in very good condition, given the apparent age of this timekeeping device. There is appropriate and honest wear and patina from true use over the many years. You can hear chimes in my video. It has been kept in a smoke free home. And press the button.
