Antique German Christmas DRESDEN Pressed Cardboard Santa 19.5 Tall. Stamped Cardboard table d. Called Santa with a deer and ringing a bell with a bag of toys and a tree. This is not a reproduction. The 30’s in Germany, Cut and stamped and embossed in a manner that was reminiscent of both. Santa was hand painted. Comes with an easel back for standing on a table or Mantel. Made in the Dresden region as part of a family cottage industry, constructed of cardboard material in molds. The embossing is quite good and the color is still very strong.
