Hello everyone, here up for sale is a very rare antique Jumeau #5 French Fashion Doll. The doll is 16 inches tall. Her head swivels, and she has beautiful blue glass eyes. The doll is marked with a 5 on the back of her head. There are no cracks and no chips in her bisque. Her leather hands are somewhat worn but in good shape for her age. The body is in good condition I believe. She is in a beautiful bride dress that has many layers and ornate designs. The sea shell beading on the lower half of the dress is actually a necklace I believe, wondering if it is a necklace that the original owner of the doll wore as a bride, it looks to be sewn in with all the same stitching as is on all of the dress. She has an original pate with some hair loss but still has hair. The cork is in very nice condition. Rarely do these come up. The clothing appears to be original to her, i did not remove her clothing as much of it is sewn into place. The veil netting is in excellent condition with minimal pin holes. The sheer over dress is fragile with some areas of shredding but beautiful given its age. I did not remove the satin socks as they were stitched into place and appear to be original.
