VTG German Black Forest Folk Art Wooden Chandelier Carved Figurines Hand Painted
Stunning and authentic chandelier from a German collector of Black Forest folk art, wood carvings and all things German. 24×24 lamp in multiple layers hangs about 32 in total length from ceiling to bottom. Was hung over dining table for decades in same home. Owner brought it home from one of multiple trips to German homeland. From a large and authentic German collection. 4 unique and one of a kind carved figures with distinctive white eyes. Hand painted and hand carved. Lightweight wood and wood bead hanging. See photos of it illuminated just prior to taking down. Note the brick carved design and dome at top shown as is with a single little wood button missing. I did not replace this little wood button because I don’t want to just glue wood here that is not authentic. The colors are still bright though there are some scratches in paint or wood as shown mostly on the top dome and on one arm. I consider all of these minor and also not noticeable when light is hanging. This is a huge, beautiful, rare example of German Black Forest folk art with multiple carvings! Note facial expressions and detail of figures. Beautiful floral/folk art hand painting on underside of lamp as well.
