Pair Antique German Porcelain Boudoir Lamps – Gentleman & Lady – c. The mold numbers are 15243 and 15244. The companion figures depict an elegantly dressed 18th century gentleman and lady seated on Rococo-style benches. Each figure is finely modeled with hand-painted facial features, pastel clothing and gilt accents. The lamps retain their ornate pierced brass-tone metal bases and porcelain columns. The gentleman’s figure is impressed with “Germany” and the mold number 15243. There is also a factory monogram that is too faint to attribute with certainty. Condition: These are an absolutely gorgeous companion pair and the lamps are in full working condition. The flaws can be seen in the pictures and are as follows: The lady’s column has been cracked at some point and there has been an obvious repair which is clearly visible only from the back. This repair has obscured the factory impressions on the lady. The very tip of the lady’s one slipper seems to have been cracked although not obvious (see photo). The brass filigree at the bottom of the gentleman figure is cracked (see photo), although this allows you to see the factory mark. They are both 12 inches tall (see photo).
