DARLING ANTIQUE’KESTNER’ DOLL. RARE CHARACTER MOLD # 185. This doll is from a smoke free home and has no odors. What a darling little girl. She is the perfect cabinet size – 11 inches tall. For reference see page #318 in “Doll Values” 13th Edition by Linda Edward. She is all original; dress, shoes and socks. Her hat might not be original but certainly old. The little black and white dog is new but so cute with her. She is closed mouth with four upper molded teeth. She has brown glass sleep eyes. Her bisque head is perfect except for a scratch on the right back of her head. As examined by a black light; this scratch is not a hairline and does not go all the way through. Her facial painting is excellent. Her body has it’s original finish. At some time, she held something in her hands as there is a spot of glue in the palms of both hands. Both hands have lost some of the original finish probably because of what she had in her hands, Other then that, the body is a work of art. She wears: her original panties; original socks and leather shoes; original wig with two braids; wonderful antique straw hat with decorations; and her original coral color lace trimmed dress.
