Here is an ultra rare Kammer and Reinhardt KR mold 107 Karl doll from about 1910, the height of the German Art Character doll movement. This model is extremely rare especially in this large size – about 22 or 54 cm tall. He has gorgeous character face with lovely bisque and brown intaglio eyes. Brown eyes are rare also. Head is marked KR 107 on the back of the head and 54 down in the neck socket. There is a small repair at the bottom of the neck socket – broke straight across and was reglued with no visible filler. There is a little repaint. This is only on the bottom quarter inch or about 1 cm so it is down in the neck hole of the body and is not visible when he is assembled. Other than this, there are no hairlines, cracks, chips or damage to the head. He is making a classic little boy pouting expression! He is on a standard fully jointed composition body with no repaint and the usual wear. He has his original pate and a light strawberry blonde antique German wig. He wears cotton combination shirt and undies, wool short trousers, wool gabardine coat with cape, antique socks and leather boots, and straw hat. This is a great doll for an advanced collector.
