For sale is a set of four original antique anatomical copperplate engravings, offered together as one complete and unified lot. The prints originate from German medical and anatomical folios published circa the mid-18th century and were produced for academic and physician reference during the Baroque period, not as decorative reproductions. Each sheet is an authentic copperplate engraving printed on laid paper, exhibiting strong line work, visible plate impressions, and period ink saturation consistent with 18th-century printing methods. The plates depict cranial, ocular, auditory, skeletal, and thoracic anatomy and include period typography in Latin and German. Engraver credits appear within the plates, including L. Probst, as shown in the photographs. These are period impressions consistent with original publication-era production. The architectural cartouches, scientific notation, and compositional style reflect the scholarly rigor of German anatomical publishing during the Enlightenment era. Individual sheets from comparable folios are often encountered singly; this offering presents a balanced and intentional four print grouping.
