1731 1st Edition Rare Book – German. By Johann David Frisch. Being a lengthy treatise on Martin Luther’s psalter. 1468 Pages – Original Binding. Lovely black-and-red foldout inner title page. Previous owner’s name written in book E. This book was part of a large collection of German Lutheran books from the estate. Who was the founder and pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Redeemer a. Redeemer Lutheran Church in Philadelphia from 1928 forward, including through World War II. Moeller graduated from the renowned Lutheran “Concordia Theological Seminary” in 1927, and he had a personal interest in studying the great Lutheran commentaries, sermons, and other works in their original German. He was a known to be a deacon at St. Leonhard, Stuttgart, Germany, in 1701; a preacher in 1714; general superintendent in 1720; and a member of the consistory in 1726. Publisher: Bernhard Michael Müller, Stuttgart, Germany. Size: 16mo – 7″ x 4¼” not counting the cover Numbered Pages: 1468 Binding: Leather (original). Very nicely preserved; f rom a non-smoking environment ; faint old book odor / no mildew odor. Overall bookseller condition: GOOD. I find no marked, missing, or abused text pages. Previous owner’s name and Stuttgart bookseller’s sticker. Foldout inner title page is in good condition, as pictured. Spine and boards showing age and shelf wear but still attached; some age loss to spine, as pictured. The above is my good-faith attempt to disclose all noteworthy issues.
