She has a gorgeous bisque Dolly Face and a. Jointed composition and wood ball body. Her head is marked 6912, Germany Handwerck, 4. Her composition body is stamped in red Heinrich Handwerck Germany 4. It looks like the name Linda is written lightly in pencil on her chest. Heinrich and his wife, Minna started their doll production in 1876 in Thuringia, Germany. Heinrich designed the heads and Simon & Halbig produced them for his company. Heinrich Handwerck dolls were considered to be made of exceptionally fine bisque as you can see in our dolls beautiful face! HEAD This delightful old doll has an especially beautiful bisque socket head and a fully jointed composition body. Her charming bisque face is very finely made with large smokey blue sleep eyes and shiny brown feathered eyebrows. She has delicately painted upper and lower lashes. Our girl has deep rosy cheeks and orangey red bow lips. She has a charming open mouth smile with four tiny teeth and a cute dimple in her chin. There are delicate old white bead earrings in her pierced ears. Her shoulder length blonde wig feels like mohair and has been styled in curls that look wonderful with her old-fashioned frock. Pretty as a picture. CLOTHING This lovely young girl is wearing a charming skillfully made newer antique 2-piece. Dress including a short jacket over a long dress. Both pieces were designed with a deep burgundy fabric, red fabric and plaid trim. Has a matching full slip and bloomers. Her white stockings and black tie shoes are newer. BODY Her large 11-piece ball jointed composition body is in wonderful condition. She can bend at her shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips and knees. SIZE Our charming girl measures about 24 inches from head to toe. We will include a doll stand in the sale. CONDITION This pretty antique doll is really fabulous! Her head is in Very Good Condition. She has a stunning smiling face with lovely blue working sleep eyes and nice rosy cheeks! There are no hairlines or cracks that we could find. Her old blonde wig may be original. It is a bit tousled. There is tape residue under her wig. Her original stamped body is in very good condition with the usual wear paint at her joints. Her little finger has been glued. Her charming handmade old-fashioned dress looks perfect with her blonde hair! This wonderful antique doll is sweet young girl and displays just beautifully!
