12 BRU Face GERMAN Antique Doll on BRU BODY
READY TO DRESS Antique doll Bru type face German doll with bru style body. I don’t know if the body is antique or original to this head. A kind ebayer just pointed out that the word BRU is impressed on the left back side of the shoulder plate. The lower Bru arms might be reproduction and unfortunately the tip of her Right ring finger is missing. The left arm measures about 1/2 shorter than the right from shoulder to tip of fingers. And the arm circumference at the fattest area also differ by 1/8 of an inch. She also has ear chips by her right earring. I just saw a teeny missing paint on her right cheek. There appears to be a line on her forehead but I did not see any hairline crack when shining a light. Her eyes appear to be Blue glass paperweight. She has a mohair wig which I’m also not sure if it’s antique. It might be a size 7/8 but her head circumference is approximately 6.75. She does not have a pate except for a cardboard like cover. This doll is approximately 12 inches before her wig. I have seen dolls with similar heads listed for a lot more. Thank you and have a great day!
