Original antique German bisque shoulder head doll. Blue paperweight glass eyes. Handmade vintage Victorian ensemble. Cloth body with leather hands/ gloves and feet/ boots. Presented here is a gorgeous antique German bisque shoulder head fashion doll. She is 20 tall. She has a beautiful face with lovely high color, closed mouth, blue paperweight stationary eyes, and very finely painted feathered brows and lashes. There is a small inclusion in the right eye, the eye is smooth, this is from the eyes being. They are original old paperweight eyes with threading, spectacular color. The bisque is all excellent, no chips, no cracks. The wig is antique mohair, it has not been glued down and holds the original style, medium reddish brown color, stitched part. The body is cloth in good condition with a few stains, the hands are brown kid leather to look like long gloves, good condition with normal discoloration. The legs have blue stripe fabric to look like long socks and the feet are brown leather boots with laces up the front, one is missing a lace on one side, normal wear. The clothing is fabulous all hand made and sewn, vintage reproduction, Victorian ensemble of taffeta with a bustle back skirt in blue and pale pink, The jacket has a back ruffle and bustle, front panel with pink lace ruffles. The bonnet is matching, adorned with blue flowers and silk ribbon. Underneath she has vintage white cotton pantaloons. The clothing is exquisitely hand made, no damage, clean, sturdy. The doll is marked on the back of the shoulder with an incised “9”, she looks to be a Belton type doll, early closed mouth. Stunning with sparkling blue eyes that match her blue gown.
