Herbert – a wonderful antique German teddy bear with a friendly expression in all original condition – he measures 25cm/10in and brings a photo of the little girl who received him in 1910 or earlier – the photo is dated on the back August 26, 1910 in pencil – teddy is in nice condition for his age and retains a lot of his beige mohair with some mohair loss – he might have been white back in the day – his nose/mouth stitching is done in dark brown and gives him a gentle smile – he has 5 claws per hand & foot – his felt pads are without holes or stains – his eyes are wooden shoe button eyes – he is firmly filled with wood wool, which has shifted a bit on his left wrist, he was probably held there by the girl – he has a non working side squeaker in his belly – there is a very small opening on the top corner of his right felt pad – the photo measures 8.5 x 13.5cm and has a 2cm long tear on the side – please have a look at the pictures for more details, they are part of the description – he comes from our non smoking & pet free home – please let us know if you have any further questions.
