Antique 18 1/2 Simon Halbig 126 Flirty Eye Dressed Boy baby Doll. Bisque head doll with composition arms, legs and torso. He is a bent leg baby doll, jointed at the neck, shoulders and hips. He is an 18 1/2 blond with beautiful flirty blue eyes, feathered eye brows, painted upper and lower lashes, peach blushed cheeks, open mouth showing two upper teeth and tongue. On his head original plaster pate and blond mohair baby style wig. He has a non working voice box in his back. Head is marked SIMON HALBIG 126 Germany 42.. He is wearing a three piece matching short pant, shirt and hat set in winter white jersey with button closure. On his feet, nylon socks and oilcloth center tie-up baby shoes. All his clothes fit him very well. Good condition with light age soil. Bisque head is free of chips, cracks hairlines, eye chips or nose rubs. Face paint in good condition. Torso, arms, hands, legs, feet, fingers and toes are in good condition. Body surface has very little if any crazing or cracks. It is, a very light color. The surface appears to be all original and not repainted. The light color is not consistent all over, so it appears to be caused by fading. Stringing is on the loose side. Clothing is free from rips and large stains but it does have age display soil and fading from blue to Winter white. Shoes and socks are in good condition.
