Antique 24 German Bisque Head Doll Kestner 171 On Marked Body Beautiful doll! Doll in great condition for over 100 years old. She has the Kester dolly face. Her face is a nice mold 171 with brown glass sleep eyes and long eyelashes the eyelashes look to be applied more recently. They look professionally applied individually along the painted eye lashes. Her curly blonde wig with bangs is very nice, not sure if original and applied to the original plaster pate (did not remove pate since hard glue on). She has open mouth, four teeth, dimple double chin and nice rosy complexion. Her composition body is marked Germany. The body looks to be in great condition with minor surface discoloration. She is articulate ball jointed doll (wrist, elbows, knees, hips, shoulders, and turning head). The stringing is ok but could be tighten more in the legs (needs TLC). All digits are accounted for and have red lining around nails. This lovely doll is dressed as found. The clothes look more vintage period. Dressed in nice deep green jacket with gold buttons, skirt with faux fur trim, with matching bonnet, long white sleeve shirt (shirt has some staining), pantaloons, two pair socks, knit stockings (stockings have safety pins on bottom – assume to keep on better), and nice soft leather beige low ankle boots.
