Antique German Belsnickle Santa Rides Felt Paper Mache/Composition Horse
Both are of German origin but unmarked. The Santa has a Felt Red and Cream Trim on Suit and Hood and Blue Felt Pants and Blue Paper Belt. The Santa has a Hand painted Composition Face with a Rabbit Fur Beard and Leaather Moustache. He has His Arms in a Molded Folded Position and Has Two Wired Legs with Composition Black Boots. The Santa is approx 4 long. Santa and Horse together are approx 7 tall. The Horse is approx 5″ tall to his ears and is approx 5-1/2″ long to his tail. I don’t know if the dark brown pattern on his felt was painted years ago or he came that way when made. All sales final, good luck!
