This authentic field gear piece was historically used by botanists and herbalists to keep plant specimens fresh during outdoor excursions. The strap is printed the name of C. Central Motif: Features a beautiful, unpainted central lid panel with a three-dimensional raised relief / embossed metal scene depicting a traditional horse-drawn stagecoach. Body: Oblong sheet metal construction finished in a classic, deep forest green enamel lacquer. Hardware & Strap: Equipped with its original, authentic leather shoulder carry strap and original metal closure hardware. This item is in antique/condition with a wonderful, authentic patina.
