Antique German Keepsake Box 1850’s Handmade with logo or flowers Old Dirty
This Antique German Keepsake Box from the 1850s is a beautifully crafted piece with a rectangular shape and a medium size suitable for furniture or any room in the house. Easy to clean with a damp cloth, this keepsake box is a one-of-a-kind treasure originating from Germany, possibly the City of Eschbach. Good condition, especially as far as sturdy, well made, dowel & groove, glued, old hinges, old nails in base, very heavy 12-14 pounds. Slight raised rectangle top, so lid is 1.5 inches thick, a bit higher in center, and half an inch inside lid, sides are 8 inches deep, both sides, inside dimensions are 14 inches wide inside, 5.75 inches high inside. From the Collection of Darel Eschbach born in Toledo, Ohio, Grandparents immigrated from Eschbach, Germany in mid-1800’s… Not sure if they brought with them or his Grandfather made it.
