ANTIQUE GERMAN’BLUE SCARF’ PARIAN DOLL. By Alt, Beck & Gottschalck – Circa: 1880 to 1900. This doll is from a smoke free home and has no odors. So called’Blue Scarf’ was modeled after’Queen Luise’ of Prussia because of two paintings which show her with a blue veil around the neck. She is 19 inches tall. She has a shoulder head with long blond curled hair style and a modeled blue scarf. Her bisque is perfect except the bottom of stringing hole on the left back of the shoulder plate is broken off (see photo). She has painted eyes but they look almost like glass from certain angles. She does not have a mark. She has bisque arms/hands. Her upper part of her cloth body is old but maybe not original. Notice the photo of the legs and decorated leather boots – certainly not original but nice. She has lace trimmed pantaloons and underskirt. She wears a satin style blue dress.
