Lovely Rare 30″ German Bisque Socket Head Doll Marked “G & C Kestner? She’ll steal your heart! Please view pictures for the best description of this little beauty. I’ll do my best to describe what I can. She is marked on the back of her head, “G & C” along with a maker symbol. I’m not able to identify this particular mark, but I do know that a very similar doll with the same mold number was made by Kestner. She stands about 30 inches tall with a composition ball jointed body and brown sleep eyes. Her body is marked on her back “made in Germany” in a circle. She’s in very nice condition, although loosely strung, and has an open mouth with four upper teeth and vibrant face color. Some eye lashes are missing, and her brown sleep eyes open and close as they should. She wears a gorgeous antique dress with an exquisite fine lace collar and matching lace trim throughout the dress. A thick satin slip is sewn into the dress skirt, and her matching bonnet, leather shoes and antique broach top off this great period ensemble.
