The Kaiser’Universe’ clocks will probably go down in history as the finest 400 Day Clock ever made. This is a Very Rare Blue Model. This clock was imported into the United States in late 1953 and 1954. Also of this, J. Kaiser was using the name’Universe’, which had already been trade marked by a U. This forced Kaiser to give up the name or face a court challenge. There were probably no more than a few thousand of these clocks produced. Both the movement and pendulum design were very different from the designs used up to that time. The actual pendulum is placed beneath the base and when making time adjustments the movement of the weights cannot actually be observed. The suspension springs are very easily damaged.
